Lettering.js & Twitter’s Year in Review

We were thrilled at the Paravel office to see such a great use of Lettering.js on Twitter’s 2010: Year In Review site- specifically on the headline for The 10 Most Powerful Tweets of 2010.  Josh Brewer, and the rest of the Twitter design team used it to split up the words within the title h1 to resize, position and change fonts; achieving a none-too-shabby intro to the page. The Old Car Manual Project

I love old cars- especially all the badges, manuals, and logos that came along with them. I’ve even taken to recreating an old Ford logo & Shelby Mustang badge a few weeks back. Recently, while clicking around I hit the automotive design jackpot. The Old Car Manual Project is a regularly updated archive of scanned manuals. There are currently over 42,000 pages there now, so pace yourself! As... Read more

ReaganRay.com

I’ve always been impressed by how generous Reagan is with his time and talent. Over the past few months, he’s helped Dave and me beef up our own identities and personal projects, leaving his own site on the back burner- until now! His new portfolio site, powered by Cargo Collective, features a great set of selected works that provides a nice look into his personal style and capabilities. I’ve... Read more

Inception Movie Poster

My initial Dribbble shot has evolved into this tribute poster. While I was at it, I threw together a few desktop wallpapers for kicks. Download options: Poster 2560 x 1600 2560 x 1400 1920 x 1080... Dribbble - What Were You Working On?

Yesterday I was cleaning up my hard drive and migrating some design assets to Dropbox when I came across a few PSD files for a version of the Paravel site from over 6 years ago. I’m not sure what I was thinking, but I got such a kick out of it I figured I’d upload a crop as a Dribbble shot and invite others to do the same.... Read more

Whusky Desktop & iPad Wallpaper

Recently, I’ve really been enjoying Rdio. Each morning I’ll add a bunch of music to my queue and be set for the rest of the day. The Sons of the Pioneers have been in heavy rotation and their version of “Cigareetes, Whusky and Wild, Wild Women” has been stuck in my head all week. When walking around the house singing the song failed to dislodge the tune from... Read more
