Is Snow Leopard crashing your Firefox?
Happily, I seem to have made it through my OS X upgrade to Snow Leopard relatively unscathed. One issue I had was with Firefox crashing shortly after launch before any page fully loaded. I checked out the Mozilla support forums and saw quite a few posts on the need to upgrade and/or uninstall Adobe Flash Player. I tried all that, tried upgrading from Firefox 3.5.2 to 3.5.3 and still had the same problem.
I finally found a solution here. I needed to rebuild the font caches by starting OS X in Safe Mode, then restarting my computer normally. It worked like a charm.

Thanks for posting, I’ve been having some issues, so will see if this works
Good luck. Your HDLive site is lovely, btw.
you’re the most popular dude on the internet.
Thanks, this solved my issue too!
hmmm, I wasn’t having a problem at first, but within the last month it has been crashing. I’ve actually started trying out Chrome because of the crashing. I’ll give this a shot, thanks!
Thanks so much for the tips and help with improving firefox’s stability. It was growing old, and I’ve began to start using Chrome. I know that it is also possible to rebuild font caches by using programs like Onyx, and the benefit is you will not have to boot to safe mode, but you will still have to restart. I’ve gone this method and I will keep you posted if it does not help. Thanks again.
