Crap content + Backlinks = Short term success, you might get listed #1, but your rankings drop, because of CONTENT KARMA

Great content + no backlinks = Possibility for long term success (depends on if people will start linking to you, willingly)

Great Content + Backlinks = Long term success

BTW. Your website is too white :)

There is a fine line between selling and marketing... Most people overdo the kill, that the result is people running away from them instead of towards them.

I came here via designshack and found the site design and layout very nice.. I am a big black and white in color and pro type based design, fan. Excellent work!

I can't agree with you more on this one.

As soon as I sniff out someone being fake, trying to sell themselves too hard, or not being thorough, I've not only lost all interest in that person/business... I purposefully avoid them in the future.

I think people need to realize that not all attention is good attention.

If I start following "Snickers" on Twitter - well, that is my own fault.

But if I start following an author whose book I've bought, and they just send an endless stream of pompous self-promotion, I definitely won't buy a book from them again in the future.

The best communities and the web-gurus that have the strongest following have "cultivated their brand" through genuine thought, speech, and listening to one another.
