It's easy to break frames with a bit of Javascript at the top of the page, using window.location.top

No one really addresses this issue. Twittered it without using the referral frame bars.

Goddamit yes! This is exactly what I was moaning about the other day, but in a much less eloquent way. I will be directing people to this article without using these silly referral sites.

Loading a site in a frame does not steal hits. You are mistaken.

I actually didn't know it was that bad, I've seen it on a few sites but had no idea they were stealing hits like that.

This is another example of technology being ahead of the laws that keep it in check. The ugliness is certainly a concern, but the stealing of hits seems downright criminal. I would certainly expect more of sites like Digg.

Does this mean Pirate offically beats Ninja? I mean, I'm not sure if Ninjas (capitalized for emphasis) are polluting the internet or are hijacking ships off the coast of Somalia...

going from Digg to CollegeHumor today i got assaulted with not 1, but 2 frame bars! ay ay ay. see for yourself.

http://digg.com/d1pAmd

the CollegeHumor site is actually just a bar that pops up if there's a referrer from a social network, nonetheless, it's getting crazy. like installing multiple toolbars in FF or IE.
