Recommendation Number One

So you call yourself a Texan?

There are a few places I believe you have to visit to really know what Texas is all about. Most of them have everything to do with food. Eating whiskey soaked bread pudding at The Perini Ranch Steak House, gorging yourself on family style BBQ at The Salt Lick, and eating a chicken fried steak the size of your face at The Blue Bonnet Cafe are all heavenly food experiences readily available for those blessed few that can call themselves Texans.

One of the best days of the year

The day I got the call from our friends at Blue Bonnet Cafe asking about some web and print design, I nearly fell out of my chair. I’ve been enjoying pie happy hour since I was 8, when my family started visiting Lake LBJ. We’d hop in the Econoline and drive the 5 hours from Baytown for a weekend where days were spent pursuing the most popular lake sporting activity of the time and evenings were spent making that essential stop in for dinner. To me, The Blue Bonnet has defined what a Texas cafe should be. Great food, great conversation and great prices.
